Comprehensive Operations & Maintenance

Astbury Water Technology, Inc. (Astbury) provides clients with a complete menu of wastewater services, including system operation & maintenance, sample analysis, plant upgrades, and consulting.  Our Certified Wastewater Operators offer an impressive depth of experience and knowledge; as most have backgrounds and degrees in Chemistry or Environmental Science and have achieved the highest levels of state drinking water certification.  Astbury employs innovative and efficient operational techniques that can save money on electricity, chemicals, and maintenance, while achieving and maintaining compliance.

We offer unparalleled flexibility to meet our customers’ needs.  As a relatively small, private company, Astbury can provide customized service programs, contracts, and payment plans to best fit the needs of each individual client.

In conclusion, our experience, flexibility, and region-wide presence allow for us to serve our customers by saving them money on operations, bio-solids disposal, electricity, and chemical costs—all while delivering improved compliance, operation, and accountability.

In total, Astbury operates well over 60 drinking water and wastewater systems, serving nearly 30,000 Hoosiers, Kentuckians, and Michiganders, and representing a wide range of facilities.  We have emergency capabilities every day and hour of the year and have contract terms ranging from monthly to multi-year agreements.

Regulatory Compliance & Upgrades

Over many years of providing operational services, Astbury has developed the capability to improve under-performing and non-compliant plants by using a practical, cost-effective approach.  In many instances, we have assumed responsibility for facilities that were under “Agreed Orders” from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), or were under regulatory scrutiny due to routine violations of permit limits.  We take great pride in our ability to evaluate the existing infrastructure and make it work better without spending large sums of money.  We have no vested interest in hiring expensive engineering firms and contractors who may tend to ignore economical options in favor of "flashy" and expensive, but unnecessary, technology.  This capability has helped Astbury develop an excellent reputation and working relationship with IDEM and other regulatory agencies.

Municipal Partnerships

Providing clean and dependable water and sewer service is one of the top priorities for any community.  Providing these services can be a thankless job, as water is so necessary to every-day life that people take for granted clean and reliable water and sewer service.  Similarly, it should come as no surprise that most people hardly ever think about the inherent challenges that community leaders face when delivering on this unwritten promise.

At Astbury Water Technology, Inc., we understand how much is at stake when helping our customers deliver on the promise of clean and dependable water and sewer service.  We have been operating drinking water and wastewater systems for cities, towns, and the private sector in Indiana for nearly 30-years and are currently entrusted with facilities that serve nearly 30,000 Hoosiers, Kentuckians, and Michiganders.
