Comprehensive Operations and Maintenance

Astbury Water Technology, Inc. (Astbury) provides a complete menu of wastewater treatment services, including professional certified operation, maintenance, laboratory analysis, facility upgrades and compliance consulting.  Astbury’s extensive capabilities provide customers with turnkey service solutions which streamline system operation.  Streamlining system operation improves environmental compliance, system reliability and professional accountability while minimizing expenses.

“Astbury has always kept on top of the day to day operations of our facilities and is very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to the construction of our facilities and interfacing with IDEM regulators. With Astbury overseeing our facilities I don't need to worry about our drinking water and waste water systems.”

–Shannon Eberly
Regional Vice President for Sun Communities, Inc.

Beyond turnkey capabilities, Astbury’s professional certified wastewater operators offer an impressive depth of experience and knowledge.  Many have backgrounds or collegiate degrees in science-based programs and have achieved the highest levels of certification, enabling innovative operational techniques that optimize system performance.

In summary, Astbury’s capabilities and experience serve clients by simplifying operations, improving environmental compliance and increasing accountability while minimizing expenses.  These attributes have helped Astbury to develop an excellent reputation with customers and regulatory authorities alike.

In total, Astbury operates well over sixty drinking water and wastewater systems, serving nearly 30,000 end-use customers in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.  These facilities range in size from 6,000 gallons per day to over 4.0 million gallons per-day (MGD).  Our services are available on an “ala carte” basis with contract terms ranging from monthly to multi-year agreements.

Regulatory Compliance and Facility Improvements

In many instances, Astbury has assumed operation of facilities that were under “Agreed Orders” from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM), or were experiencing regulatory scrutiny due to routine violations of permit limits.  We take great pride in our ability to evaluate existing infrastructure and improve performance without spending large sums of money.  We have no vested interest in eschewing economical options in favor of "flashy" and expensive, but sometimes unnecessary, technology.  This capability has helped Astbury develop an excellent reputation and working relationship with IDEM and other regulatory agencies.

Call Astbury for a facility evaluation before hiring an engineer as permit violations are frequently due to substandard certified operation and maintenance rather than inadequate facilities.
